What does new national living wage law mean for hairdressing apprentices?

Tamara Forrest-Smith

a quick update from Her Majesty’s Government. As you may know from 1ts April 2016 workers over 25 and over are entitled to a new minimum pay rate of £7.20. In the hairdressing world it has been an established practice to take on hair apprentices since the scheme has been introduced, so make sure you are up to date and know exactly what your responsibilities as a salon owner and an employer are.
