Hi Head Punk Alan here.
And another groovytastic morning to
all of you salon owners at Salon Punk
Today's little tip is quick and to
the point but as always.. HIGH VALUE.
One word: Tent Cards. Okay I know
that was two words in one sentence but it feels like one word when you
say it!
Do you know what a tent card is?
Here's an example below

I know... it looks like a
tent... durghhhhh!
How Can Tent Cards Make Your Salon
More Money?
Dead, dead simple!
Imagine for a second you are a
client visiting your salon. You walk in and are asked to wait in
reception.
You are sat down reading magazines.
In fact what you would usually
probably do is this. Look around and if there is anything to read on
walls, tables in short to the point messages you'll read them. You know
a bit like ...
NO SMOKING, FIRE EXIT and so on.
Just small and direct messages.
You then leave reception area and
have to sit at the styling station. At the station what do you have
again? ... Time to read.
Now here's the thing. People do not
have TIME in a concentrated amount to digest a huge message wile sat
there. What they do have is the capacity to take in small direct masses.
So ...
Lets show how you can do 3 things
to increase your salon takings.
1. Get a load of blank tent cards.
2. Write a short message on them.
3. Watch sales increase.
What kind of message?
Here's a powerful salon tip. When
you write a message, use a question. Why? Because a question requires a
response.
So the card could say something
like ...
Have you thought about having a
color? Ask about our new color service.
Do you wonder would a facial make
your skin look healthier? Ask Susan now, she has the answer.
See how simple that was!
I guarantee almost everyone in the
salon will at least ask about the message if you keep it short and
direct. This in turn ... increases your sales!
So write down in a pad at least 30
questions that your clients will be thinking about when in your salon.
And ... keep all of the cards
focused on ONE thing, one message everywhere in the salon.
I kid you not, this is a cool way
to increase sales of anything in your salon over any working day.
Okay today's is short, I have to
run.

See you soon.
